Board Exam Season Checklist for Gujarat Coaching Centres

GSEB and CBSE board exams are a few months away. Use this checklist to get attendance, notes, tests and parent updates in order now.

Teacher with a board exam preparation checklist

For Std 10 and Std 12 batches, the weeks before board exams decide a lot. October and November are the right months to get your systems in order, before the pressure starts.

Attendance

  • Review attendance for each student so far this year.
  • Contact parents of students with frequent absence now, not in February.
  • Keep marking attendance daily, even during revision.

Study material

  • Put chapter-wise notes in one place: subject, then chapter.
  • Add formula sheets and important question lists.
  • Remove old or wrong files so students do not use them.

Tests

  • Plan a test schedule for the next eight weeks.
  • Include a mix of chapter tests and full-paper tests.
  • Share marks and ranks within a day or two.

Parents

  • Send a short update about the revision plan.
  • Tell parents the dates of important tests.
  • Share progress after every major test.

Records

  • Check that every student has the right batch and parent number.
  • Make sure fee dues are clear before the exam period.
  • Keep a backup of important records.

A weekly rhythm for the last 12 weeks

  1. Monday: share the week's plan and test dates.
  2. Midweek: check attendance and call absent students' parents.
  3. Weekend: test, enter marks and share results.

A calm, predictable routine helps students more than any last-minute push.
